A Galapagos cruise is a unique experience one that you’ll treasure.

The Galapagos Islands are a small archipelago of volcanic islands belonging to Ecuador in the eastern Pacific Ocean. The islands are quite remote and isolated, lying some 1000 km (620 miles) west of Ecuador. The Galapagos are world renowned for its unique ecosystem which was the inspiration for Charles Darwin’s Theory of Natural Selection. Giant tortoises, sea lions, penguins, marine iguanas and different bird species can all be seen and approached. Strict controls on tourist access are maintained in an effort to protect the natural habitats and all visitors must be accompanied by a national park-certified naturalist tour guide.

A Galapagos cruise is a unique experience – one that you’ll treasure. We feature some of the finest motor yachts cruising the Galapagos from 4 to 14 days. They have carefully crafted itineraries taking you to a wide selection of these fascinating islands. They carry highly qualified guides and accommodate between 16 and around 50 guests in considerable comfort. Some, like the luxurious Isabela II were purpose built for cruising the Galapagos. Others, like the delightful Grace began life as a millionaire’s yacht cruising the Mediterranean.

Exclusive Adventures only books small high quality Galapagos cruise yachts. In our view it is a pity to travel such a long way to such fragile wildlife havens among large numbers of tourists aboard a large ship. Your experience with us will be among the best that is available, ensuring that every new day brings a new adventure among the unique Galapagos wildlife.

Your expert guide will take you by inflatable boat to each island and introduce you to marine iguanas, giant tortoise, penguins and a host of fascinating birds. Because there are no predators or hunting, the wildlife is unafraid. You may find yourself stepping over a nesting blue footed booby or lying on your stomach face to face with a marine iguana. The islands are mostly young and volcanic and smoking craters, sunken calderas and lava beaches add to their charm. Each island has its own blend of birds and wildlife, so birders will particularly love the “bird island” Tower with its thousands of frigate birds, noddy terms and tropical birds. Visitors to Isabela, the youngest island will enjoy finding giant tortoise, land iguanas and penguin colonies.

We would love to arrange your visit to these fascinating remote islands. Contact us now to discuss which yacht might suit you best, and what else you might do on your South America holiday.
