This delta comprises big seasonal floodplains, hundreds of square miles of savannah, as well as varied forest which includes mopane trees, huge old baobabs and acacia; all of which attracts a very large number and wide range of animals.
Lebala Camp is located on the largest private game viewing concession in Botswana - the 2320km² Kwando Concession. It shares this enormous area of land in northern Botswana with its sister camp, Lagoon Camp, and because the concession is private you can enjoy the widest possible range of game viewing activities which include walking with an armed guide and tracker, game drives by open vehicle both during the day and at night with a spotlight to view nocturnal creatures. There is also a hide close to the camp where you can enjoy exciting 'close up' game viewing and bird watching.
Lebala is the Tswana word for wide-open plains and each tent has extensive views over expansive tracts of African plains and wetlands that comprise part of the Kwando-Linyanti flood plain system.
Each tent comprises a spacious bedroom area, bathroom including a Victorian ball and claw bath tub and double basin, outside reeded shower, dressing area, and side entrance to preserve privacy. The teak furniture was created by Zimbabwean master craftsmen that is both elegant and comfortable leaving the tent looking spacious and tasteful. The clean simple lines created by the canvas and patterned teak with large windows letting in filtered light will complete the picture of privacy and space.
