Accommodation
Although ‘Ivory’ is a safari lodge, it has many of the facilities one would expect in a five-star hotel including a high quality health spa, a superb dining lodge, large pool and gymnasium. Guests can choose to dine under shelter in the lodge or under a huge star-lit African sky in the open air ‘boma’.
Ivory is one of the smallest and most intimate lodges in the Kruger region with just six sumptuous air-conditioned suites, each with beautifully carved four-poster bed, elegant safari furniture, luxury en-suite bathroom and a spacious game viewing deck outside set into which is a private plunge pool.
Experiences
When guests are not out game viewing or relaxing in Ivory Lodge’s superb facilities, you can spend a couple of hours in one of the three discreetly located hides where you can relax with a snack, a coolbox, binoculars and camera unseen by the animals which wander past. Alternatively, you can spend a night in the Kingston Treehouse located near the camp and enjoy a night under the stars in luxury.
The highly experienced rangers will take you on safari by open vehicle, both during the day and at night when a spotlight is used to see nocturnal creatures. You can also enjoy bush walks when the guide is armed enabling you to learn the fundamentals of bush craft and tracking.
